Yoga & Surf Weekend – Jan 5-7th

The New Year is generally a time for reflection and resolution, and what a better way to start the year, than taking some time out for yourself to refresh your body and mind. Soukya is an ancient Sanskrit word, meaning well being, happiness and a harmonious state of the mind, body, and spirit’. Our luxurious villas are located along the Coromandel Coast, between the Bay of Bengal and the Buckingham canal backwaters. It’s a perfect location to escape the city, yet stay in luxury, surrounded by nature, using yoga as the tool to refresh your body and mind, while trying an exciting and exhilarating activity such as surfing.

Located a short drive down the ECR, away from the bustling city of Chennai, you will leave the stress and traffic behind you. After you cross the Muttukadu Bridge and look both left and right to the ocean and the backwaters, see the birds and reflection of the sun setting, we are sure you will feel a sense of peace. Then just 5 mins later you will arrive at Soukya Homestays. At Thiruvandathai, the Village where the Crocodile Park is based, you take a U-turn at the water tank and drive 300m back towards Kovalam. There you will see a small road to the left leading to a Temple and Temple Tank. Our Villas are located on the right side, in 7 acres of landscaped garden, surrounded by water filled lakes, looking onto the backwaters, known as the Buckingham Canal.

There will be a maximum of 16 people in the group for this Yoga and Surf weekend. The Yoga and Aqua yoga will be led by Shanthala T.
